COST Action CA22134: Sustainable Network for agrofood loss and waste prevention, management, quantification and valorisation (FoodWaStop)
Food loss and waste (FLW) pose a significant global challenge, undermining food security and hindering sustainable development, as recognised by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the European Green Deal frameworks. The FoodWaStop project addresses this by establishing an interdisciplinary European network to advance knowledge on FLW. It aims to quantify FLW across the fruit and vegetable value chain, foster innovative waste reduction technologies and strategies, and promote a circular bio-economy through agro-food waste valorisation.
