AMPEiRE brings together a multidisciplinary team of researchers to tackle materials challenges related to the development of advanced batteries and broader energy applications.

The centre focuses on range of applications including mobile devices, electric vehicles, grid scale storage of renewables, electrocatalysis and energy generation. Research covers from blue-sky chemistry and materials science research to circular economy and policy activities.
