Biography

Abdullah Al Noman received his Ph.D. in Electronic and Information Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2023. He obtained his M.Eng. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2018, and his B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh, in 2015. He served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for approximately two years. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Limerick, Ireland, working on cancer cell detection. His research interests include optical fiber-based sensors for water quality monitoring, biomedical sensing, and environmental sensing.

Optical Fiber Sensors; Water Quality Monitoring; Biosensing; Fiber Optical Interferometry; Optical Fiber Grating; Plastic Optical Fiber.
