Research Interests
My research explores how technology entrepreneurs navigate ethical dilemmas while developing and scaling new ventures. I focus on the complex challenges that arise at the intersection of innovation, technology, and ethical decision-making, particularly in fast-moving, early-stage ventures.
As part of my doctoral research within the STEER (Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Research) project, founded by Lero and in collaboration with Kemmy Business School, I investigate how entrepreneurs construct and enact ethical responsibility in practice, and how these decisions influence the development, sustainability, and societal legitimacy of technology ventures.
This study addresses a notable gap in entrepreneurship research: while much of the literature emphasizes opportunity creation and positive potential, the ethical tensions and dilemmas inherent in technological innovation remain underexplored. By examining how entrepreneurs navigate these dilemmas in practice, this research contributes critical insight into the intersection of ethics, innovation, and venture development.
