Biography
Emily is an Assistant Professor in Sociology in the Department of Sociology. Her research area is economic sociology, with a focus on inequality, social stratification, labour markets and the life course.
She has carried out localised research in Ireland as well as cross-national and comparative research in several European countries, and has worked at Oxford University, University of Zürich, and at the University of Luxembourg. Emily studied Business, Economics and Social Studies at Trinity College Dublin, before completing her MSc in Sociology at Oxford University. Emily holds a PhD from the University of Lausanne (NCCR LIVES), Switzerland.
