Eoins expertise lies in the area of youth crime prevention, intervention and youth justice. Eoin is a PhD scholarship awardee in the School of Law, University of Limerick, examining Collective Efficacy and youth crime intervention.
Eoins MA thesis in Criminology through TUD focused on the area of 'desistance' or the cessation of offending, and how some young adults were able to stay away from crime despite being heavily involved in their younger years. This was titled, 'A Case Study of Youth Crime Desistance in a Disadvantaged Area', and focused on challenging and complex ex-offenders striving to 'make good' in one of Ireland's most disadvantaged areas.

Eoin lectures on the Schools Youth Crime Module, a cross-disciplinary offering at MA level that blends legalpolicysocial science perspectives on youth crime and offers the distinctive element of dealing with real world issues.
Previously guest lecturer in the area of youth crime and justice in various undergraduate and postgraduate modules in TUS, TUD and Sligo institute of technology.
Eoin O Meara Daly is a Research Fellow in Youth Justice with the Research Evidence into Policy Programmes and Practice Project (REPPP) in the School of Law, University of Limerick. Eoin has been a lead researcher on the Greentown Replication study, the Greentown Programme Design initiative and author of the Bluetown report

Eoin currently works on the REPPP Action Research Project, a collaboration with 16 Garda Youth Diversion Projects as trial sites to examine relational practice (or professional relationships between practitioners and young people) in youth justice settings using a co-design approach. Eoin was previously a Youth Justice Worker and Coordinator before managing a number of initiatives and services for young people in Limerick for Limerick Youth Service over a 10-year period. Eoin is also a PHD scholarship awardee in the School of Law, University of Limerick, examining Collective Efficacy and youth crime intervention.
