Research Interests
My research interests are interdisciplinary and span labour studies, management, sustainable development, and agricultural systems. I am particularly interested in: Industrial Relations (IR), Non-standard worker (NSW) representation, Employment Relations (ER), Civil society organisations (CSOs) and labour governance, Management and leadership, Agricultural economics and Sustainable agriculture and rural development.
My Doctoral Research is under the EU-Horizon Project and focuses on the Non-standard worker Representation Ecosystem: Actors, Practices, and Role of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Ireland' evolving Industrial Relations (IR) System. More broadly, I am interested in labour market transformation, worker voice and represenation, inclusive governance systems, and the intersection between social justice and sustainable economic development.
Biography
I am a multidisciplinary researcher and development practitioner with over a decade of experience working across programme management, agricultural economics, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, strategic leadership, and social enterprise development.
Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in the Department of Work and Employment Studies at Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick, where my research explores how labour market institutions, civil society organisations, and alternative governance systems can strengthen representation and protection for vulnerable and non-standard workers.
My professional and academic journey has enabled me to bridge employment relations, social justice, sustainability, and systems innovation. Alongside my labour-focused research, I have extensive experience in agricultural systems, climate-smart livelihoods, circular economy innovation, and inclusive enterprise development, particularly within Ireand and Africa contexts.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to designing and advancing integrated systems that promote economic resilience, environmental sustainability, and inclusive community development. My interdisciplinary background in agriculture, economics, management, and monitoring and evaluation allows me to combine rigorous academic inquiry with practical implementation experience.
