Research Interests

As societies and workforces are ageing globally, and retirement ages are extending, it is important that employees have the necessary abilities, well-being, satisfaction, productivity, and motivation throughout the employee life-cycle. This is particularly important for older employees as they near retirement.

Hannah's research focuses broadly on this concept of "Successful Ageing at Work" (SAW). Specifically, her research aims to promote SAW through promoting more positive self-perceptions and a decrease in internalised ageist attitudes among older employees.

Her project is titled: Understanding Successful Ageing at Work (SAW) through the Lens of Internalized Ageism: Investigating Antecedents and Outcomes and Developing New Interventions.

Her research is funded by Research Ireland.

Hannah is a current member of the European COST Action Network: LeverAge (Working group 2 - Successful Ageing).
