Research Interests
Muhammad Huzaifa Butt is a seasoned professional with over 8 years experience in sustainable development, project management, monitoring and evaluation, and evidence-based/research policy development. Skilled in quantitative and qualitative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project management with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. He holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (2015) from Mirpur University of Science and Technology, Mirpur (Pakistan), MSc Project Management (2019) from Bahria University, Lahore (Pakistan) and MSc in Sustainable Energy Transition (2022) as an Asian Development Bank scholar from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. From 2015 to 2020, Mr. Huzaifa Butt worked as project engineer on energy infrastructure projects particularly hydropower projects in Pakistan. From 2022-2023 served as Research Consultant for Asian Institute of Technology SMARTS research center, Thailand/Pakistan. At present, working with University of Limerick and Limerick City and County Council on multiple sustainable mobility projects. His area of expertise include but not limited to, research and project development, project management, sustainable energy transition, demand side solution, circular economy, energy efficiency, mobility demand, technology innovation system, energy audit, active travel, energy demand modeling, ESG, cross sectoral transition, Net Zero Buildings, and emission accounting.
