Biography
Jamie Wilson is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Data Science and Machine Learning with MACSI and CONFIRM Smart Manufacturing in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Limerick.
He completed his PhD in Astrophysics at Queen s University Belfast where he worked on the application of robust statistical and machine learning techniques to astrophysical time series and the analysis of transiting exoplanet atmospheres.
He is currently working on an SFI CONFIRM project which aims to develop data analytics for the optimisation of manufacturing and industry processes.
Research Interests: Machine Learning, Data Science, Gaussian Processes, Time Series, Exoplanet Atmospheres
