PhD researcher in Reproductive Biology. Researching the protective potential of the extremolyte ectoine on sperm function under stress conditions using both in vitro and in vivo models.

Biography

Kaitlyn Weldon graduated with a first class honours degree in Bioscience at the University of Limerick in 2021 with is now undertaking a PhD at the University of Limerick under the supervision of Professor Sean Fair. This PhD, funded by the Irish Research Council, is focused on enhancing sperm resilience against external stress
