Biography

  • Lecturer and Course Director of the BA in Journalism and New Media programme, University of Limerick, Ireland, since 2016. Responsible for the design, delivery and assessment of a number of modules in the BA in Journalism and New Media programme and the MA in Journalism, which focus on news reporting and writing skills for multimedia platforms.
  • Limerick correspondent for The Irish Times newspaper 2003 - 2016.
  • Working journalist with 20 years experience in print, online and broadcast journalism for national and regional media organisations.
  • Stringer for RTE s mid-west correspondent Cathy Halloran and regular contributor to RTE's online news service and prime time radio programmes including Morning Ireland, The News at One and Drive Time.
