Biography

Keelin Leahy is a Senior Lecturer of Technology Education at the University of Limerick. Keelin received her PhD from the University of Limerick in 2009 focusing on Design-based Strategies for second level education. In 2016 Keelin embarked on a research sabbatical with University of Michigan and Iowa State University. Keelin s main research interests include creativity in education, design methods and approaches for the development of creativity and design based activities and pedagogy across the levels of education. Keelin s main teaching areas include undergraduate Wood Design and Technology, Wood Processing Practice and Safety, School Placement tutoring, and supervising taught Masters thesis / articles.
