Design and deliver 'Do you write like an engineer' in collaboration with Associate Professor Michael Walsh, to first year engineers in the Common Entry Programme for Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Design and Manufacturing Engineering.Module Leader for ME6051, Advanced Technical Communication for Engineers, a first-year module for students on the ME and MSc. in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering. Module Leader for AW4006, Peer Tutoring in Academic Writing, a tutor training module for undergraduates interested in working as a peer writing tutor in the RWC. The module is offered as an optional extra to students in the BA in Arts.Consultant on HP4001, Preparing for Success, a first-year required writing module for students in the BA in Arts programme.Design and delivery of Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) workshops for students and academic staff. Workshops focus on writing in this academic context, with focus on research and writing processes, an understanding of the writing situation, strategies for negotiating those processes and the situation and the assigning, teaching and assessment of writing.

Director of the Regional Writing Centre at the University of Limerick (UL), Lawrence is an Educational Developer for the Centre for Teaching and Learning, UL. andnbsp;His background is in English, Rhetoric and Composition Studies (BA in English, Illinois State University) and English Language Teaching (MA in ELT, University of Limerick). Lawrence has facilitated writer developmentandnbsp;in a number of disciplines. He currently teaches writing to first-year Engineers in the BEng course and is the module leader for ME6051 Advanced Technical Communication for Engineers for the ME and MSc. programmes for Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineers.
