He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (2005–2009), a Master’s degree (2010–2012), a PhD (2012–2016, including a sandwich internship at the Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases/USP), and a Postdoctoral fellowship (2017–2019) in Pharmacology, Anesthesiology, and Therapeutics from UNICAMP. He served as a Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Dentistry (Area: Pharmacology) at FOP/UNICAMP (2017–2019), as a Young Visiting Professor (2019–2021), and as a Junior Visiting Professor (2024–2025) at the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). He was also a Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Dental Sciences at UNIFAL-MG (2021–2025), in addition to serving as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Limerick, Ireland (2023–2024).
Currently, he is a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, funded by the European Union (start: September 2025), at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and a Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences (since 2024). He develops collaborative research on natural and bioactive products for inflammation control, including partnerships with national universities (ESALQ/USP, FOP/UNICAMP, and CRID/USP) and international institutions (University of Limerick, Ireland; Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; Institute of Apicultural Research, China; and the University of Auckland, New Zealand), as well as private companies. He coordinates the BIOInflamma Research Group (Bioactives in Inflammation Control) and the outreach project “BIOInflamma: from research to outreach in the dissemination of scientific knowledge on natural bioactives and anti-inflammatory agents.” He has taught undergraduate (Pharmacology) and graduate-level courses, including: (1) Animal Experimentation; (2) Cell Culture Techniques and Molecular Biology Applied to Dentistry; (3) Advanced Topics in Molecular Biology; and (4) Cellular, Molecular, and Structural Bases of Human Diseases.
