Biography
Dr María del Mar Palomares Marin holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Spanish at the University of Limerick in Ireland. Before her current role, she occupied roles at various higher education institutions in Ireland. Her research focuses on educational technology, artificial intelligence in education, and applications for autonomous language learning. She has conducted research on the role of interfaces and multimedia in language learning applications, linguistic frameworks in autonomous learning applications, curriculum adaptation and development in language applications, and the construction of prototypes. Additionally, she has worked on prototypes for language learning applications based on different linguistic methodologies.
