Biography

A BSc graduate from Nottingham Trent University, Mark has extensive experience in automotive and electronics manufacturing. He obtained a PhD in the area of the Virtual Enterprise; specifically aimed at the use of mobile ICT technologies, in the facilitation of collaborative and concurrent engineering using real time information flow between constituent member companies. He has a proven track record in technology management and innovation within SMEs, optimising the technology transfer process for both the technology source and target. Researching the impact of policy on technology based innovation within small firms whilst optimising research management in small and large firms. Measurement of innovation capabilities in small firms at the same time as measuring the impact of innovations and technology management practices on performance in small Irish manufacturing firms.
