Biography
Ms. Melissa Browne works as a Clinical Skills and Simulation Educator in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Prior to this she worked as a University Teacher in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Limerick. She completed her Master s Degree in Health Promotion and Education and a Graduate Diploma in Helathcare SImualtion and Patient Safety from the National University of Ireland Galway having undertaken her primary BSc degree in General Nursing and a Higher Diploma in Midwifery in the University of Limerick. She had a keen interest in research having experience working as a research nurse in Clinical Trials, University Hospital Limerick and as a research assistant in the University of Limerick. With 20 years clinical nursing experience she has developed a strong foundation in bridging the gap between thoery and clinical practice while teaching on both undergraduate and postgraduates modules.
