My research focuses primarily on exercise and physical activity interventions for people with inflammatory arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis) and other rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs). I am also interested in Digital Health and Implementation Science as related research areas.

Prof Norelee Kennedy, Full Professor of Physiotherapy. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin (BSc Physiotherapy (1999); Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics (2000); PhD (2004) and UG (PGDIp T&L Higher Ed 2004).
Former Vice President Research (2000-2005) and former Head of School of Allied Health (2014-2019).
Norelee leads a successful programme of research in the field of rheumatology/physiotherapy focusing on exercise, physical activity and lifestyle aspects of inflammatory diseases. Her research has funded by Irish Research Council, Health Research Board and European funding. She is a regular contributor on EULAR task forces to develop recommendations for clinical practice in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
