Biography
Patryk Makowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Work and Employment Studies at the University of Limerick. His research focuses on leadership, employee engagement, and work in remote and hybrid contexts, with a broader interest in organisational behaviour, human resource management, and sustainable work. He uses qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches to examine how leadership and people management practices shape employee well-being, motivation, and performance.
Research Interests
His current research interests include leadership, employee engagement, remote and hybrid work, organisational behaviour, human resource management, work and employment, and mixed-methods research. He is also interested in the practical implications of research for management practice, healthy workplaces, and the future of work.
Teaching Interests
Patryk teaches across areas including human resource management, human resource development, psychology of work, and people management in project settings. He has experience teaching and leading modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
