Personal profile
Research Interests
My research interests include Adolescent Literacy, English Pedagogy, Global Citizenship Education, Assessment and Reflective Practice
Teaching Interests
My teaching interests are broad and connect well with my areas of interest. Having spent much of my career as a teacher of English, I lead two modules in English Pedagogy at undergraduate level, English Pedagogics 1 and 2.
I am also very interested in the potential of reflective practice to support our personal and professional development. This connects well with a module I teach on the Diploma in Drug and Alcohol Studies entitled 'Research and Reflective Practice' and also on the Professional Masters in Education Programme, 'Becoming a Teacher: Identity and Agency'.
