Rhoda is currently a Project Manager for European Projects in the Graduate and Professional Studies Department at the University of Limerick, managing the European Funded REBOOT and EAGLE projects.  

Prior to this she held the role of Senior Technical Offcer in the Physical Education and Sport Sciences department at the University of Limerick since 2006.  Key responsibilites included resarch administration support to staff, research groups and students, promote research in the department, compile research metrics, and generate research reports for the department.  She was the Grant Manager for an EU COST Action, Determinants of Physical Activity in Settings (CA19101) since 2021 and provided research support to the Sport and Human Performance Research Centre at the University of Limerick.

Prior to her role as a Technical Officer in the department, Rhoda was a Research Officer for a 4 year research partnership set up between the PESS department and the Health Service Executive (Mid-West).  She has a BSc. in Exercise and Sports Science, (University of Limerick, 1998) and a MSc. (Research) from the University of Limerick (2001).  Rhoda completed here PhD in 2024 under the supervision of University of Limerick Professors Ann MacPhail and Ciaran MacDonncha.

Rhoda has completed a PhD in the area of family and parental determinants of physical activity of children utilising data from the Irish National longitudinal study 'Growing Up in Ireland'. In addition, Rhoda is interested in the promotion and measurement of physical activity in different settings.
