Sarah M. Dillon, BA (Hons) MA MBus PhD FHEA, is an early-career practitioner-driven educator and researcher, with a PhD in international entrepreneurship.
As an educator, Sarah has experience leading modules, lecturing and tutoring on topics relating to international marketing and management, and is a CQ® Certified Facilitator (CF) specialising in cultural intelligence training for individuals and teams. She is particularly skilled at designing and delivering asynchronous, synchronous and blended learning programmes for researchers and professionals, and is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA).
As a researcher, Sarah is a project manager for co-produced, multi-stakeholder programs with applied research impact. She has a developing program of research at the intersection of entrepreneurial activity, internationalisation processes, and digitally-driven business environments. To date, she has been awarded over EUR €155,000 (AUD $265,000) for her research, including two Australian Government Research Training Programme Tuition Fee Scholarships and a competitive Australian Government Postgraduate Research Award Stipend.
Prior to returning to academia, Sarah worked across a range of roles in marketing and management within multinational corporations and SMEs, in the IT and professional services sectors, at home and abroad. Sarah has also contributed strategically and at governance level as an active non-executive director on the board of a large organisation with an educational remit. Sarah has lived and worked in six different countries over the course of her career, and has recently relocated to Ireland's midwest.
Sarah completed her PhD in International Entrepreneurship (2025) and her MBus in International Business (2018) at the triple accredited QUT Business School, Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane, Australia. Prior to this, Sarah completed an MA in Technical and Specialised Translation (French, German and Spanish) at the University of Westminster, London (2004), and a BA (Hons) in Applied Languages (French, Spanish and German) at the University of Limerick (2000). She also has a Diploma in Life Coaching (Estrada College) and a Certificate in Teaching English to Adult Learners (Cambridge ESOL).
