Research Interests

Teresa completed her Ph.D in the area of maternal mental health. Research methodology of choice is feminist standpoint theory. Topic expertise and interests are in the areas of: perinatal mental health, mental health nursing and recovery. She is actively involved in a range of research projects mainly in the area of perinatal mental health and general mental health.

andnbsp;Dr Teresa Tuohy PhD; MSc Counselling Psychology; BSc (Hons); Diploma in Nursing; RPN; RGN; RNT. andnbsp;andnbsp;Teresaandnbsp;currently works as a lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Limerick. Teresa hasandnbsp;15+ years teaching experience in Higher Education. She worked in clinical practice as a psychiatric nurse until August 2018 and has over 30 years post registration experience working in a variety of settings. andnbsp;Teresa previously worked inandnbsp; third level institutions teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes and inter-professional programmes in both Ireland and England.andnbsp; andnbsp; andnbsp;
