Tram Nguyen

Tram is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Management and Marketing, in Kemmy Business School, at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Tram was a Management lecturer at Faculty of Management and Tourism, Hanoi University, Vietnam. 

Tram has over 20 years of lecturing Management modules such as Principle of Management, Strategic Management, Business Communication, Organisational Behaviour, International Management,  Entrepreneurship and Strategic Leadership. With her extensive experience in teaching undergraduates level and in delivering courses to various target groups including masters and post-experience learners. Tram has spent years as a visiting lecturer at Latrobe University (Hanoi Vietnam-Latrobe Australia partnership program in Vietnam) and at IMC Krems University (Austria). In conjunction with her academic works, she had run her own business in education industry for over 10 years. 

Tram holds an MBA from Latrobe University, Australia and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Monash University, Australia. She is holding a Doctoral Degree of Philosophy and an Assistant Professor in Strategy and Leadership at KBS, University of Limerick. 

Her research primarily focuses on multiple institutional logics in Higher Education Institutions. 

Institutional Theory, Institutional Logics, Professional Identity, Strategic Partnerships, Leadership, Change Management, Cultural Diversity, Transactional Education. Tram's PhD thesis is about institutional logics in international higher education partnership field and the professional identity of academics. Her reasearch focus spans serveral inter-connected areas, including strategic management, leadership development, organisational performance, higher education strategy and policy, and international strategic partnerships. A particular focus of her work examines how universities build collabrative relationship with international partners to enhance research excellent, innovation, knowledge exchange and societal impact. She is also interested in the strategic transformation of higher education institutions in response to digital transformation and evolving stakeholder expectations. 

Tram presents her working papers on institutional logics and professional identity at jamor international confrences, including Irish Academy of Managment and British Academy of Management, and contributes to global discussions on institutional resilience, strategic innovation and collaborative goernance. 

Tram is equally dedicated to research mentorship and capacity building. She has supervised master's students accross a range of research topics related to strategic managment, leadership, organisational change, higher education and healthcare. 

In addition to her research activities, Tram actively engages with universities, and managment team to translate her research into practice. Her expertise has informed partnership innitiatives, partnership frameworks and institutional strategic planning at both national and  international levels.
