Biography

Trevor Hickey is a lecturer in teacher education, specifically Construction Technology Education, at the University of Limerick. He is currently Course Director of LM094. His areas of expertiseandnbsp;includeandnbsp;teacher education, construction/ architecturalandnbsp;technology,andnbsp;pedagogy and health and; safety in theandnbsp;education setting. He is an experienced teacher at second level, with over 15 years experience teaching leaving certificate Construction Studies and 10 years experience working with the State Examinations Commission.andnbsp;He is the author of two Leaving Certificateandnbsp;Construction Studiesandnbsp;textbooks. He has also developed a range of education resources forandnbsp;the Health and; Safety Authority relating to theandnbsp;management ofandnbsp;healthandnbsp;and safety inandnbsp;the Technology classroom.andnbsp;A Certified Passivhaus Consultant, he has developed a series of educational resources for teaching the Passivhaus Standard in the Irish context.
