Biography
Assistant Professor Mustafa is medically trained (Faculty of Medicine, University of Gezira, Sudan). He finished his postgraduate training and obtained an MD degree in Clinical Immunology from Sudan Medical Specialization Board, Sudan in 2012. Next, he worked as an assistant professor in immunology and pathology at the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Shaqra University, Saudi Arabia for 6 years. He also received a master s degree in Molecular Pathology and Therapeutics of Cancer with Distinction from the University of Leicester, UK in 2020. Assistant Professor Mustafa worked as a medical doctor at UHW and UHL in Ireland for 2 years before joining UL, in 2022, as a Lecturer in Histology and Pathology. His work experience includes clinical, laboratory, and teaching settings.

Professional Experience
Working in the Department of Histology at University Hospital Waterford from 2020 to 2021.
Working in the Department of Haematology/Oncology at University Hospital Limerick from 2021 to 2022.
Working as an assistant professor of Immunology/Pathology at different universities in Saudi Arabia and Sudan, from 2012 to 2018.
Working as a teaching assistant and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of West Kordofan, Sudan from 2007 to 2012.
Research Interests
Cancer, cancer immunotherapy, and immunology.
Histopathology.
