The Agility Award supports individual professional artists and arts practitioners who have not been funded as an individual by the Arts Council since 01 January 2016.
It focuses on enabling artists to develop their practice, develop their work and develop their skills.
In 2022 I received an award of €5,000 as part of the Arts Councils Agility Award scheme, which aims to support individual professional freelance artists and arts workers at any stage in their careers. This has allowed me to develop and realise a collaborative songwriting project with Denise Chaila, Post Punk Podge, Jean Wallace, and Naïve Ted, wherein 4 new songs have been written with these individual 4 artists over days in 4-hour writing sessions. The results will be recorded and released commercially in late 2026.
