Abstract
The orthorhombic polymorphic modification of the cis-transoid-cis-dicyclohexano-18-crown-6 was found and compared with the monoclinic modification. The crown-ether molecules are centrosymmetric in the structures of the two polymorphs and reveals the same molecular shape but different packing motifs. The crystals of the above compound were obtained serendipitously with tin tetrafluoride methanol.
