Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the science of enabling programmable machines to learn and act like humans. Currently, AI has remarkably emerged as a prominent concept to revolutionize the conventional ecosystem of scientific innovations. It provides a visionary insight to reshape numerous facets of modern research, yielding a more accurate, reliable, and diversified research output. AI environs every crucial aspect of our lives and facilitates research activities in that space. Sometimes, AI models are required to directly interact with human data, which may involve access to sensitive information as well. This phenomenon demands careful consideration of a vast variety of ethical concerns associated with the personal data of humans. This chapter explores the integration of AI models into current research methods and interprets the impact of AI on enhancing research potential. It also discusses the possible ethical concerns with state-of-the-art AI models and drawbacks of neglecting such concerns. Furthermore, the chapter concludes with ethical considerations to boost the reliability, trustworthiness, fairness, transparency, and accountability of AI models.
