Abstract
We show how to construct an asymptotic solution to the delayed logistic equation = αy(1-y1), corresponding to the asymptotic limit α→∝. The results of the analysis are compared with a numerical computation, and found to be comparatively accurate for α > 2. Since the approach adopted is novel, we comment on some features which may be relevant in other problems.
