abstract = "The learning of students within the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Limerick is increasingly supported and mediated by computer based technology. New techniques, such as self-record and review of laboratory practice procedures and {"}clicker{"} response to quizzes in lectures, facilitate individual student engagement even with large classes. Further support is provided by the use of the Moodle learning management system. This paper illustrates how these techniques are integrated in the Clinical Skills Laboratory class and present the findings of a study aimed to discover how Irish nursing student view these technology supports.",
