Abstract

Knowledge has become the central theme of organisational strategy research. The importance of knowledge in creating organisational value has been investigated from both the traditional resource (Grant 1996) and transaction cost (Liebeskind 1996) perspectives as well as the more contemporary constructivist viewpoints (Spender 1996a, 1996b). Yet authors remain ensconced in one camp or another, embracing dualism and contradiction in place of unity and oneness.
