Abstract

This chapter thoroughly analyzes the various groups of antiviral drugs, clarifying their unique modes of action and their therapeutic implications. The topics cover a wide range, including immunological modulators, protease inhibitors, polymerase inhibitors, nucleoside analogs, and viral entry inhibitors. New antiviral tactics are also investigated, providing insight into fresh methods of fighting viral infections. In addition, the chapter highlights the opportunities and difficulties present in the ever-changing field of antiviral medication development, offering insightful information to researchers, physicians, and students in equal measure.
