Abstract

The use of databases with imprecise information for matching and correcting of addressing is described. Appropriate application has basic concepts which are as follows; (a) it is possible to understand the structure of an imprecise input and (b) to be able to match such an input to a set of highly structured patterns with uncertainties. It will be shown that there are two major problems encountered in the application of a fuzzy information system prototype for address matching.
