Abstract
We construct asymptotic solutions for loop-like self intersecting mathematical solutions of the Laplace-Young capillary equation which was originally derived to model liquid rise in capillary tubes. We show that each successive loop has a complicated asymptotic structure which is resolved using the method of matched asymptotic expansions.
