N2 - Demand for clean and efficient energy storage is constantly growing due to concerns about limited global energy supply, environmental and climate change. Batteries with expected energy density values in the range of several hundred watts per kilogram are currently receiving special attention. One of the most common examples of high-energy batteries are lithium-sulfur batteries and they may replace Li-ion batteries in their applications. Sulfur has the advantages of low price, natural affluence, and compatibility with nature. However, several shortcomings of this technology need to be solved before commercialization. By using a suitable binder in the production of the positive electrodes, some of them could be repressed.
