Abstract

We develop a lubrication approximation for the case of steady Bow of a thin viscous liquid over a small two dimensional topography and develop a Green's function for the lineansed problem. The solutions so obtained can be used to analyse the effect of arbitrary small substrate defects on the coating applied to a substrate.
