Abstract

The goal of this research is to address accessibility issues in Virtual Reality (VR) interaction for users with different motor abilities affecting hand-eye coordination, e.g. users with dyspraxia, or using their non-dominant hand. To this goal, we need to assess upper-limb motion in 3D, during bare-hand interaction. To explore the parameters that can be used for dexterity assessment, we designed a VR prototype and conducted a pilot study to observe effects of hand-dominance during a 3D pointing task in VR as a use-case.
