Abstract

In this chapter the editors review contributor content, and provide an overview of the way that individual contributions integrate. The objective is to provide a perspective over developments that are occurring within the established industry, and the influences that are apparent, emerging, or unrecognised, and stem from developments outside the scope of traditional concerns. The prognosis is that there is plenty of scope for new developments, innovation will be essential to driving forward new solutions, and the old problems, whilst they might be ameliorated, are unlikely to go away. The scope of the solutions expected will simply become more complex with time, and it is important for industry to keep abreast of ways of managing this challenge.
