N2 - In a world of constant disruption, effective digital transformation requires strategic alignment and a holistic approach. However, most initiatives fail due to fragmented execution and narrow, technology-first approaches. This paper introduces ADAPT (Alignment-Driven Adaptation Process & Tool), an advanced visual knowledge management tool designed to facilitate systemic, purpose-driven digital transformation. ADAPT integrates systems thinking, strategic clarity, and organizational agility to enable leaders to align digital efforts with long-term value creation and adaptive capacity. As a flexible meta-approach, ADAPT derives customized adaptation processes to address unique organizational challenges. ADAPT allows to integrate diverse methods into coherent strategies to derive opportunity-driven, shared purposes and implementation plans, effectively orchestrating involved stakeholders. ADAPT is based on ten years of interdisciplinary research and practical insights. However, given the need for contextual validation, this paper invites further real-world testing and iterative refinement to optimize its practical impact and enhance its instantiation's effectiveness for digital transformation.
