Abstract

Conceptual modeling or the precoding phases of any simulation project are crucial to the success of such a project (Wang and Brooks 2006). The problem definition, requirements gathering, and conceptual model formulation process is often a time-consuming one, as is the process of collecting detailed information on the operation of a system (Balci 1986). However, little substantive research on the subject has been reported in the literature (Brooks 2006, Robinson 2004).
