Abstract
A Fabry-Pérot based optical fiber sensor to measure the refractive index variations due to changes in oxygen level in hypoxic tumors is proposed. The optical fiber sensors have a diameter of 220 μ m and few mm long coated with 100 nm thick gold layer at a tip to enhance the sensitivity with hemoglobin in red blood cells.
