Development of perovskite nanomaterials for energy applications

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Energy-related applications are catching very much attraction nowadays. Energy harvesting and storage devices use many materials in which the importance place is held by nanomaterials and metallic cages or clusters. Among the various materials used, the perovskite structures are becoming favorite to the researchers. Owing to their special structure and properties the usage of perovskite-based have been increased especially in the energy devices. Perovskite materials are the crystalline materials used mostly for energy applications. They have been used in solar cells for decades. New modifications are always tried to introduce in the perovskite crystalline lattice. The surface modification improves the properties and energy storage efficiency of the materials. This chapter is throwing light in to the perovskite-based materials, their structure, specifications and usage for energy applications.
