N2 - The 17th International Symposium on Electrets (ISE 17) was held at the Bernal Institute of the University of Limerick, Ireland between September 2-6, 2019. ISE 17 was hosted by the Institute’s Modeling Simulation and Innovative Characterization (MOSAIC) group within the BioMaterials cluster of the Bernal Institute. All ISE-17 technical sessions took place at the Bernal Institute’s Analog Devices Building (ADB) on the south bank of the River Shannon. ISE 17 started with a welcome reception and tour of the picturesque campus of the University of Limerick including its historical Plassey House and the footbridge over the River Shannon that linked the campus on the north bank to that on the south bank. More than 120 participants attended inspiring, informative, and insightful lectures, panel discussions, workshops and poster sessions were organized within the 17th ISE. Around 80 participants were international participants from Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, and North and South America.
