N2 - A horizontal Internet of Things (IoT) platform, named EMULSION, which was developed for fast IoT system prototyping and speedy roll-out of respective services and applications, is presented in this paper. The successful use of the platform as a basis of various prototype systems, operating in different IoT domains, is show-cased on examples of ‘smart environment’, ‘smart home’, and ‘smart health’ monitoring and control.
