Abstract
As part of a UNESCO project, I collaborated on the research component by writing Chapter 2 for this amazing book. Students from the University of Valencia collaborated with those from the University of Limerick to create fictional stories inspired by the real-life biographies of women in the Dominican Republic. They learned about these women through reading the book “Dominicanas Fuera de Serie.” Students from the University of Limerick worked in Spanish with their partners from Valencia to create fictional stories that highlight the social problems faced by these and other women in the Dominican Republic. This project developed the following Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
