Abstract
The construction of supramolecular structures by simple cocrystallization of compounds whose molecular building blocks are complementary is amazingly easy. Td‐symmetric molecules that can function as Hbond donors, for instance [{M(CO)3(μ3OH)}4] (M MnI, ReI) (shown on the right), and bi‐ or multifunctional Hbond acceptors such as 1,3‐diaminopropane and hexamethylenetetramine form two‐dimensional “chickenwire” networks.
