N2 - A horizontal IoT platform, named EMULSION, is presented in this paper, which was developed for fast IoT system prototyping and speedy roll-out of respective services and applications. The successful use of the platform as a basis of various prototype systems is show-cased on the example of ‘smart environment’ and ‘smart infrastructure’ monitoring and control.
