Abstract

In this paper the results from temperature programmed desorption, photoacoustic spectroscopy in the infrared region, and semi-empirical (extended Hueckel) calculations are presented to demonstrate the relationship between the cation, the anion and catalytic properties of heteropoly compounds, 12-tungstophosphoric acid, 12-molybdophosphoric acid, and 12-tungstosilicic acid.
